weki wool

Snowdonia, North Wales

weki wool is run by Tania, mum of two, and self-confessed fleece addict. She has lived in Wales for nearly two years and feels right at home in Snowdonia as it has many similarities to her native New Zealand. Tania is a self-taught spinner, and spins all sorts of yarns on her Ashford country. These birdhouses and nests available at Seapig Store came about from a love of nature and wool. Tania had often put out tufts of fleece for the birds to use in outbuildings, so these creations were a natural progression, and are a great way to use all of the sheep fleeces; the parts with herd marks on, the bits that are a bit coarse or just unsuitable for garments. Tania processes the fleece as little as possible so they may smell a little 'sheepy' but the birds won't mind!
