Siobhan from Stroudiecrafter just loves tying things in knots! She grew up in the amazing town of Stroud, burrowed in the Cotswolds, and nestled in the five valleys. Stroud, adorned with its old textile mills, has a long history in cloth production. This connection with her home town’s history, must have had a subliminal effect on Siobhan’s passions in life. When looking for a creative outlet to supplementhery felting hobby, Siobhan metaphorically tripped over recycled t-shirt yarn. This chunky yarn, more traditionally used in crocheting, gives a really unique eye-catching effect when used in macrame plant hangers. The yarn is made from salvaged and remnant textiles. These yarns, married with those forgotten curtain rings lurking in the backs of drawers, make very exciting and vibrant plant hangers. Stroudiecrafter was born by Siobhan finding she had too many planthangers for her own home (!) and deciding to start selling them at local fairs and online. Seapig Store is thrilled to have found this innovative and flourishing small business, and to be collaborating in this way to help more people find these wonderful recycled and upcycled products.
