About:

Caz is a printmaker working from her home studio/open gallery, here on the beautiful island of Anglesey. Her work is inspired by the stunning landscapes and coastlines that surround her, as well as her own wildlife-friendly garden, which influences her work. She enjoys the process of Lino printing, from the first sketch in situ, up to developing the image textures and depth, reversing the drawing and transferring it on to the Lino, using the cutting tools to gouge out the areas she doesn't want any colour on, inking up the print using water-based inks to print with, and the exciting results of the first print. Each print is individual, as it varies slightly due to the hand printing, making each one unique. All her cards are printed on recycled card using spent brewer's yeast. The spent grain can be seen as flecks and freckles, creating a unique finish.
