About

Who We Are

I started Seapig in 2017 after I decided to leave my stable, ‘job for life’ as a university lecturer, to pursue a more sustainable life which includes a lot of time beach-cleaning and searching my local beaches on Anglesey for beautiful sea glass treasure.  Ironically, I was a lecturer in Marine Biology, but I now feel more connected with the marine environment and what we can all do to protect it, by clearing litter regularly and upcycling some of the beach ‘rubbish’ I find and turning it into bespoke sea glass jewellery. I live on a smallholding on the west coast of Anglesey with my husband Rich and our two children (fondly known by our followers as the Seapiglets!).

Eco Gallery Plans

We live on a smallholding that has a large barn that we hope to convert into artisan workshops with display area.….but the world is a little upside down at the moment and we are readjusting our expectations of when we might be able to physically welcome customers to commission items and meet the artists in residence.
To stay up to date with the progress of things, and when we are next holding an event please do follow us on social media or join our mailing list.

Supporting Ethical Makers

However, with Covid-19 meaning that we all need to be willing to make changes to plans and schedules, we have decided to bring together some of the amazing items that we have chosen to display and sell in the physical eco gallery when it is open, and display them in this online collection.  We hope you love browsing this amazing array of items that are all either UPCYCLED, ETHICAL or SUSTAINABLE.  One of the added benefits from shopping with us here at Seapig Store is that all these items are with us here in one place, and so even if you shop from multiple makers in one purchase, these can all be sent to you in one parcel and so you will save on postage costs.

We are always finding new and amazing artists who are creating products that fit in with our environmental ethics and so do sign up to our mailing list and follow us on social media, to hear when we have exciting new products to bring you!

Happy Eco Shopping!
